Deciding to pursue a psychological assessment for your child or yourself is a significant step. At our clinic, we understand how overwhelming this decision can be, and we are here to guide you with clarity and confidence. Our process begins with a 60-minute consultation, designed to help you understand your needs without any pressure to proceed further. Much like you wouldn’t jump straight to surgery without a consultation, we start with an initial meeting to determine the best path forward.
Our Simplified Process
Book a 60-min. initial consultation through our website for $300. Upon booking, telehealth details, intake forms, and preliminary questionnaires will be sent. Please share recent report cards and any relevant documents to help us understand your child’s school performance.
Virtually meet with our psychologist to explore your child’s developmental history and current challenges and clarify assessment goals (like exploring potential ADHD). Together, we’ll develop an individualised testing pathway tailored to your needs.
After the consultation, you’ll receive a formal quote for the recommended assessment pathway. You’ll also receive a clear outline of the next steps, including the number of sessions and what to expect.
If you decide to move forward with the assessment, formally accept the quote and pay a non-refundable deposit of 50%. Once we receive this, our admin team will schedule appointments at your convenience.
You or your child will complete engaging, child-friendly standardised assessments tailored to your concerns, conducted via telehealth, in-person, or both, with the number of sessions determined by your personalised testing pathway.
Your psychologist will analyse the results and compile a detailed, easy-to-understand report outlining findings, strengths, and recommendations. The remaining balance for the assessment must be settled before the report is released.
During the report feedback session, our psychologist will clearly explain assessment findings, highlighting your child’s strengths and support needs, while giving you the opportunity to ask questions and gain deeper understanding to confidently advocate for your child.
Optional for ADHDers
Following your assessment, we offer expedited telehealth appointments with our in-house pediatrician within 2 weeks of your final report, bypassing typical 8-month private waitlists. With a GP referral for Medicare rebates, you’ll receive a comprehensive consultation focusing on holistic ADHD management, including medication and non-medication options tailored to your child’s unique needs, plus a detailed medication plan, written information, e-script if appropriate, summary letters for you and your GP, and a School Letter of Diagnosis with suggested accommodations.
What to expect in an initial online consultation
The first step in the assessment process is a telehealth consultation between the psychologist and the parent(s) or guardian(s). This session is designed to gather essential background information and understand your child’s unique needs.
During this session, we will:
- Discuss your child’s developmental history – including early milestones, school experiences, social interactions, and any previous concerns or diagnoses.
- Identify strengths and challenges – to build a complete picture of your child’s cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural profile.
- Explore current concerns – such as difficulties with attention, focus, learning, emotional regulation, social skills, or daily functioning.
- Understand family and school experiences – how your child functions at home, in school, and in social environments.
- Clarify goals for the assessment – whether you’re seeking a formal diagnosis (e.g., ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorder), an understanding of your child’s learning style, recommendations for school accommodations, or guidance on emotional and behavioural support.
- Outline the next steps – the psychologist will explain the assessment process, what to expect, and how results will be used to support your child’s development.
This session is an opportunity to ask questions and share any information that may help tailor the assessment to best support your child’s needs.
Payment Methods
We have three payment options available: direct bank transfer, credit or debit card over the phone, or secure payment via email link. Please note that payments made using a credit or debit card, and secure email link may incur a processing fee of up to 2.0%. Processing fees are calculated during the payment process.
Payments made via direct bank transfer will not incur any additional processing fee. For banking details, please let our reception team know if you would prefer to pay via bank transfer.

A $300 initial consultation fee provides a 60-minute session with an experienced psychologist to understand your child’s situation. This initial consultation fee will be deducted from any subsequent assessment costs. If no assessment is needed, you’ll only pay for the consultation, which offers valuable insights while potentially saving resources.
Every individual is unique, and so is our approach. Our psychologists will work with you to design a personalised assessment pathway that suits your child’s specific needs. Just as you would consult a doctor before surgery, our clinical consultation helps us determine the most suitable path for your child.
We prioritise thorough assessments over brief ones to ensure every aspect of your child’s developmental puzzle is considered. To support this holistic approach, we provide our clients with access to our in-house paediatrician within two weeks of completing the assessment, ensuring comprehensive and integrated care.
