Amanda McAndrews

Amanda is a psychologist and educator who is experienced in working with people across the lifespan. In addition to her registration as a Psychologist, Amanda continues to hold her teacher registration and has previously worked as a primary classroom teacher and learning support teacher with post-graduate qualifications in both psychology and special education. Amanda is an experienced practitioner in a range of educational settings and in private practice, who has special interest in providing assessments for children and adolescents so that all can access the support they require.
Amanda is a warm and compassionate practitioner who relies on evidence-based research to guide her practice. She strongly believes in a collaborative approach with her clients to ensure she has a thorough understanding of the individual she is assessing, and is adept in communicating with families, schools, support workers and other professionals to ascertain a full profile for each client and practical recommendations for support.

Amanda provides high quality comprehensive assessments and reports for children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of Autism, ADHD, developmental disability, intellectual and cognitive functioning, learning difficulties, psychosocial functioning, behaviour, attention and memory. She aims to provide each unique client with a personalised assessment that answers their specific referral questions.
